Deering Goodtime Two Deco Banjo 5-String

Deering Goodtime Two Deco Banjo 5-String

The Goodtime Two Deco banjo combines classic tone with a striking design inspired by the Art Deco movement of the 1920s.

The new inlay pattern and engraved headstock give this banjo a unique look, while the US Bronze powder-coated hardware is not only hypoallergenic but also non-snagging. The added resonator gives the banjo a more powerful, brighter sound than the Goodtime openback, making it perfect for sessions where volume and projection are essential. At under 6 lbs., it remains highly portable.

The Goodtime Two was born in 1999 in response to a demand for a resonator version of the revolutionary Goodtime openback. Deering listened to players and created a banjo that offered the same great playability, but with a richer, louder tone that effortlessly cuts through a mix. The secret lies in the combination of a 3-ply violin-grade maple rim and a resonator of the same material, which optimally reflects and amplifies the sound through the nickel-plated flange with sound holes.

With its light weight and sturdy construction, the Goodtime Two is the ideal travel companion for bluegrass lovers looking for a reliable, affordable and easy-playing banjo. Like all Goodtime models, it is built with care and craftsmanship in San Diego, CA, with an unmistakable focus on playability, tone and durability.
