Atkin Guitars was founded in 1995 in Canterbury, England. Alister Atkin started as a one-man company, and as such built a few handmade guitars a year. Gradually, due to the great success of the guitars, the company expanded to seven employees, but the guitars have always remained handmade. The Atkin Essential 000 is a guitar that perfectly embodies Atkin's philosophy; a lightly built guitar where the tone is central.

Thanks to the baked top with special bracing, this compact guitar nevertheless boasts a rich sound with plenty of bass.
